SQA Results Day 2027 — How Many Days Left

Scotland's results day falls on a Tuesday in early August, ahead of the A-level and GCSE results days in the rest of the UK. National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher results all arrive on the same day.

SQA is now Qualifications Scotland. The Scottish Qualifications Authority was replaced in 2026, but results day, the qualifications and the way results reach you work as before — which is why most people still search for "SQA results".

The countdown above ends at 08:00 UK time. Pupils signed up to My Qualifications Scotland receive their results by text or email from 8am; depending on the provider, a message can take longer to arrive. Paper certificates are posted first class the same day.

• The Skills Development Scotland Results Helpline gives free, impartial advice on college, university, apprenticeships and jobs.
• The appeals service is free and opens on results day, either through your school or college or directly with Qualifications Scotland.

Nothing is decided in the first hour. The helpline, the appeals window and the university routes all stay open well past results morning.
