Designed for the exam room

During an exam, only two pieces of information matter: how much time is left, and what time the exam ends. This timer shows both in large type, with nothing else around them, so it stays readable from the back of the room once projected.

Milestone alerts mirror the announcements an invigilator usually makes: thirty minutes, fifteen, ten, five, then the final minute. Each milestone triggers a sound and a visual reminder, and you choose which ones to enable.

How to use it

  1. Pick the exam duration with a preset or by typing the number of minutes.
  2. Tick the milestones at which you want to warn candidates, then start.
  3. Switch to fullscreen to project. If a candidate has extra time or something goes wrong, the +5 min button adds time without resetting.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The +5 min button extends the remaining time without interrupting the countdown or losing the time already elapsed. It is there for exam accommodations and incidents in the room.

The finish time is worked out at start from the remaining time. If you pause and resume, or add time, it is recalculated so it stays correct.

Yes. The remaining time is read from the system clock on every refresh, with no drift building up. A four-hour exam ends at exactly the expected second.

No. The tool runs in the browser, with no install and no account. Once the page has loaded, it keeps working even if the connection is unstable.
