Using the timer

WatchIsUp offers a timer mode in addition to the classic countdown. It is a decreasing chronometer with a user-defined duration, with no public target date.

What's the difference between timer and countdown?

The countdown targets a precise date/time in the future, shareable. The timer counts down a duration defined at launch (e.g., 25 minutes) directly in the browser — useful for Pomodoro, cooking, sports.

How do I use it?

Go to the timer page, set the duration (hours, minutes, seconds), launch. The timer runs as long as the tab stays open.

Is the timer shareable?

No, the timer is for personal use, not persisted. To share a countdown, use the classic countdown mode.

What happens when the timer reaches zero?

A visual and sound alert signals the end of the countdown.
