Online group card, opened on the big day

Birthday, a colleague leaving, wedding, new baby: send one link to the group and everyone writes a message. It all stays sealed until the big day, then the guest of honor opens the card and reads every message at once.

Why use it

01

One link, everyone writes

Drop the link in the group chat, an email or Slack. Friends write their message and sign with their first name — no account, no app.

02

The surprise stays intact

Nobody reads anyone else's message before the time, not even you. Everyone only sees the envelopes piling up and the initials of who has written.

03

Opens to the second

The card is attached to a countdown. When it hits zero, an "Open the card" button appears and the messages unfold one by one, handwritten.

04

Free, no sign-up

No account for you or for your friends. Messages are checked as they are sent to keep out insults and spam, and you can hide any message.

How it works

  1. Step 1

Create a countdown to the big day and tick "Group card".

  2. Step 2

Send the card link to the group — not to the guest of honor.

  3. Step 3

On the day, they open the card and read every message.

Group card or group chat: what's the difference?

A group chat is fine for planning, but kind words get lost between logistics, and the guest of honor is often in it. A group card keeps every message in one place, secret until the big day, and delivers them all at once.

Group chat (WhatsApp, iMessage)Everyone writes in the same conversation.Limit — No surprise if the person is in the chat; messages get mixed with planning.
Paper card passed aroundEveryone signs the card in turn.Limit — Impossible remotely; you read everyone else's words; it gets lost on the way.
Paid online card servicesMessages, photos and GIFs on a shared board.Limit — Account required, paid beyond the trial, no reveal at a set time.
WatchIsUpOne link, sealed messages, opened on the day with the countdown.Limit — Written messages only (no photos or videos in the card).

Frequently asked questions

Yes — unlimited messages and no sign-up, for you and for everyone who writes.

No. The message text stays on our servers until the deadline, checked against the server clock: moving a phone's clock forward reveals nothing. Before then, only the number of envelopes and the initials are visible.

Not for now: the card collects written messages of up to 600 characters each, signed with a first name. You can still set a photo as the countdown's background.

Every message is checked when it is sent: insults, explicit sexual content and advertising are refused. As the creator, you can also read the messages before the day and hide any of them.
